Role Responsibilities

This position is part of the Enterprise Technology team, focusing on the cutting-edge Tennessee Electric Vehicle Center. As a key member of the Site IT team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the manufacturing processes for Ford's electric vehicle lineup.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with a local team to deliver technical support, including troubleshooting and data analysis for plant applications and infrastructure.
• Engaging with various departments within the plant to ensure that manufacturing applications align with productivity objectives.
• Transitioning between locations as necessary to support project timelines and operational commitments.
• Supporting the launch and deployment of new systems essential for plant operations, including end-user support and application management.
• Working in a multi-shift environment to facilitate the launch of a new manufacturing facility.
• Providing technical assistance for manufacturing IT applications, infrastructure, and productivity tools.
• Coordinating with corporate IT and business stakeholders to prioritize system enhancements.
• Assisting in the resolution of incidents related to plant floor systems and ensuring business continuity.
• Contributing to the long-term maintenance and integration of applications and hardware.
• Supporting local network and server environments, both physical and virtual.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • The ability to support a 24/7 operational environment.
  • A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
Additionally, candidates with the following qualifications will be considered favorably:
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure and applications.
  • Strong management skills in challenging situations.
  • Experience in maintaining critical application availability.
