Neurological Specialist for Veteran Disability Exams

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurological Specialist to join our team of dedicated medical professionals at Matrix Providers. Our mission is to provide high-quality healthcare services to our Military Heroes, and we need your expertise to help us achieve this goal.
About the Job:
- As a Neurological Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams for veterans with traumatic brain injuries.
- You will review pertinent medical history documentation and capture responses during the exam through web-based examination forms.
- All documentation will be completed electronically and sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
About the Requirements:
- Must have a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) or Neurology, with experience in evaluating for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
- Primary care experience is required.
- Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted license in the specialty field of M.D. or D.O. for employment.
- Certification: Have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines.
- Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.
About the Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $120-$180 per hour, paid bi-weekly, with a schedule of 1 day per week (any day available Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm). As a Matrix Providers employee, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
About the Location:
This position is based in Nashville, TN, and requires frequent travel to various locations within the region. A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license are necessary for this role.
