We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Dietitian I to join our team at Phoenix Children's Hospital. As a key member of our nutrition care team, you will provide evidence-based nutrition care to patients and families, utilizing your expertise in medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Nutrition Care to Patients and Families
- Assess the nutritional needs of patients and develop effective MNT plans of care
- Recommend and implement interventions to monitor and evaluate nutrition care outcomes
- Follow PCH standards of care and evidence-based practice guidelines
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team
- Participate in teaching and patient rounds to contribute to and support decisions by the interdisciplinary team
- Serve as a liaison between the healthcare team and family to accommodate individual needs and preferences
- Document and Communicate Nutrition Care Plans
- Document nutrition care plans and recommendations accurately and concisely
- Ensure timely availability of information for inclusion in the interdisciplinary care plan
- Continuing Education and Professional Development
- Seek out new learning opportunities to increase knowledge and experience
- Participate in projects and activities that promote health and well-being of patients, staff, and community
- Professional knowledge and skills meet generalist-level indicators from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Scope of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance for pediatric dietitians
- Ability to manage daily workload, identify routine problems, and solve problems with advice/assistance from others
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
