Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Vehicle Technician to join our team at CarMax. As a Lead Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning vehicles to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where motivation and teamwork are key. You will work collaboratively with other technicians to solve technical problems quickly and effectively, building your experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Mentor and guide junior technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them develop their skills.
  • Collaborate with the service team to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, delivering exceptional results and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques, attending training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills and stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as an Automotive Technician, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality repairs and excellent customer service.
  • ASE certifications in Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), Heating Air Conditioning (A7), Electrical (A6), Engine Repair (A1), Manual Drive Train and Axles (A3), Engine Performance (A8), and Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A2).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers alike.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
