This position is classified as safety-sensitive and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee is responsible for their own safety as well as the safety of others.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Always operate equipment in a safe manner
Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of materials to assigned/approved destinations.
Serve as a company ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the equipment.
Perform shop clean-up, maintenance, and equipment/tools setup.
Maintain operational records.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
Ability to operate heavy or agricultural equipment safely.
Proficiency in basic math.
Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Ability to follow directions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Valid Driver's License
Minimum 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator preferred.
Clean MVR

WORKING CONDITIONS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting, Climbing, Balancing, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Feeling, lifting up to 50 lbs., Talking, Hearing, and Seeing.
The employee may be subject to confined spaces.
The employee may be exposed to outside environmental conditions: No effective protection from weather.
The employee may encounter atmospheric conditions.

The employee may face hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or bio-solids.

This position may require overtime.
