Position Overview:
ROLE SUMMARY
This role is primarily focused on delivering acute patient care in a secure and efficient manner within the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, specifically managing phase I recovery.
Key responsibilities encompass patient assessment, care planning and execution, patient and family education, documentation and evaluation of care plans, following physician directives, and overseeing the activities of non-licensed personnel.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
Engagement in continuous feedback related to personal, unit, and organizational performance enhancement.
Incorporation of patient care standards and protocols into personal practice while supporting fellow RNs.
Completion of patient care tasks and documentation, proactively seeking and providing assistance, and appropriately delegating responsibilities.
Mandatory on-call shifts.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Refer to License and Certifications.
Experience:
A minimum of one year of acute care experience in Critical Care or Perianesthesia is required. Candidates with strong educational backgrounds and relevant experiential knowledge may also be considered.
Knowledge and Skills:
Proficient in effective communication in English, both verbal and written.
Able to thrive and multitask in a dynamic environment; efficiently managing, prioritizing, and delegating patient care while completing assigned tasks and other responsibilities.
Demonstrates understanding of common disease processes, treatment methods, and interventions. Possesses above-average computer proficiency.Licenses and Certifications:
Active California Registered Nurse license is required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
Equipment Utilized:
Computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, photocopiers, pneumatic tube systems, Omnicell, telephones, IV pumps, PCA pumps, and invasive/non-invasive monitoring devices.
Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of fulfilling the essential physical demands of the role.
SALARY RANGE
$68.39
The stated salary range reflects the lowest to highest compensation available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are based on the candidate's relevant experience and skills. For per diem roles, a standard rate is applied based on market data rather than individual experience.
