PLANNING:

Involves the patient and their family (or designated representative) in creating a personalized care plan that respects cultural, religious, and educational needs.

Coordinates the comprehensive interdisciplinary care plan.

IMPLEMENTATION:

Delivers nursing care that aligns with patient-centered outcomes and established standards based on current research and evidence-based practices.

Administers patient care and treatments safely in accordance with the Standards of Safe Nursing Practice and institutional policies.
Safely dispenses medications following the Standards of Safe Nursing Practice and institutional guidelines.
Documents care clearly using precise language, appropriate terminology, and approved abbreviations.
Engages in ongoing interdisciplinary assessments of patient and family outcomes, contributing to care enhancement.
Participates in quality improvement initiatives.

Assigns tasks to team members based on their competencies and within the scope of their job descriptions, adhering to the Delegation by Licensed Nurses, Ohio Administrative Code.

Actively engages in professional development opportunities, including community involvement.
Completes required education and training to maintain specific competencies and organizational requirements.

Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures, with particular attention to attendance, confidentiality, dress code, ID badge display, and safety protocols.

Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
