Job Title: Construction Attorney

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Attorney to join our team at Structural Group, Inc. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for supporting our business needs by reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating contracts to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company guidelines
  • Identify risks and issues associated with contract terms and conditions
  • Maintain a contracts database and monitor agreement expiration dates
  • Support non-attorney staff with contract management roles
  • Assist with proposal preparation and reviewing bid documents
  • Support contract dispute resolution, including contract analysis and preparing demands/responses
  • Participate in initiatives to establish and improve department procedures
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor degree
  • 6-10 years' experience drafting and negotiating contracts in the construction industry
  • Working understanding of commercial insurance in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
