Job Title: Talent Management

Job Summary:

Giant Food is seeking a highly skilled Talent Management professional to lead the development and implementation of integrated talent management strategies, tools, and processes to drive a culture of career growth, talent mobility, performance accountability, and leadership transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy, design, development, continuous improvement, and implementation of talent, performance, and succession planning processes
  • Responsible for leading the engagement area of our associate career journey with Giant Food; this includes managing our engagement survey strategy and workplace engagement strategy to create a great place to work for all associates
  • Ensure that the talent and engagement programs and strategy are integrated, aligned, and complement other major people experience initiatives, and support Giant Food's overall strategic direction
  • Determine trends and opportunities in the talent space regarding our employment value proposition across the entire associate life cycle
  • Evaluate industry trends and best practices in talent management, performance, and succession planning, and associate engagement; develop recommendations that will enable people and business leaders to drive our strategic objectives forward
  • Guide the competencies development and career path for roles across the business in partnership with HRBPs and L&D
  • Coordinate external and internal leadership development program selection and communication
  • Coordinate the Performance Management and Calibration process including process communication to the HRBPs and the organization
  • Assist in the development, tracking, and communication of the annual Succession Planning process
  • Manage the organizations 360 process to help team members assess developmental areas within our leadership journey
  • Analyze key talent metrics for trends and opportunities to report to HR leadership
  • Manage the Associate Engagement Survey and ongoing voice of the associate measures to include process, communication, and reporting results to the business. Manage external recognitions and certificates, such as Best Place to work
  • Integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices throughout all talent processes
  • Collaborate with HR Leadership to ensure alignment to talent development theory and plan for consistent application

Qualifications and Experience:

Basic:

  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience with 5+ years leading talent management, performance, and talent programs, and/or succession planning
  • Bachelor's Degree in Comms, HR, Industrial Psychology, or Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Ability to manage projects with multiple stakeholders that require both strategic and hands-on implementation
  • Strong relationship-building skills; proven track record of building collaborative partnerships with senior-level leaders as the basis for being able to influence direction and drive change
  • Outstanding organization and project management skills with the ability to manage the delivery of high-quality, on-time programs in a dynamic environment
