Position Summary

ROLE SUMMARY
The individual will ensure that payroll systems, processes, and deliverables are established and executed with precision, timeliness, and adherence to company protocols. This role involves analyzing systems and data, employing sound judgment to address issues and challenges.

Assists the Finance Manager to guarantee that effective financial services are provided to both staff and students, while ensuring financial reports comply with GAAP and company policies.

Maintains strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

MANAGEMENT & OVERSIGHT
Oversees and directs finance personnel. Acts as the Finance Manager in their absence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Adheres to all integrity guidelines and procedures, ensuring no manipulation of data.
o Prepares payroll taxes, garnishments, insurance reports, and related reconciliations. Submits all payroll-related reports promptly. Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure payroll accuracy, deductions, and reporting.
o Prioritizes tasks to ensure timely completion of all deliverables.
o Analyzes systems and data to troubleshoot issues.
o Reviews the work of subordinate staff within the Finance Department.
o Provides training and support to Finance Department staff.
o Plays a crucial role in determining allowable versus disallowable expenses.
o Reconciles Accounts Payable bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and prepares necessary journal entries.
o Prepares all financial reports for submission to upper management and corporate headquarters.
o Conducts bi-weekly audits for records scanning of student files.
o Provides managerial oversight of the Student Store.
o Conducts routine audits for sensitive items.
o Records, audits, or reports financial transactions and manages the Student Welfare Fund, including the Student Store when applicable.

o Regularly performs all tasks assigned to the Finance department, including cash and meal ticket fund audits, to support the department and substitute for the Finance Manager as needed.

o Maintains organized and efficient financial and cost data systems.
o Produces quality work in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
o Upholds personal attendance, accountability, and productivity standards.
o Plans and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
o Demonstrates job knowledge to effectively fulfill all responsibilities. Proactively maintains necessary skills for job duties.

o Treats students with respect and holds them accountable for their actions.
o Provides quality services to students, ensuring their needs are met and services are improved.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited institution. A minimum of two years of experience in business and accounting is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Must successfully complete the company finance assessment.
