Job Overview

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development of innovative facial fillers through the synthesis, processing, and characterization of advanced biomaterials.

Key Responsibilities

1. **Formulation Development**: Lead the formulation development for next-generation facial fillers by leveraging your expertise in medical devices and combination products.

2. **Analytical Techniques**: Employ mechanical testing equipment such as Rheometers and Texture Analyzers, alongside analytical tools like Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) to create and implement Standard Operating Procedures for evaluating biomaterials.

3. **Polymer Expertise**: Utilize your knowledge in polymer synthesis, purification, characterization, and formulation processes to innovate prototype fillers.

4. **Process Development**: Engage in process development using Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) for batch synthesis and purification, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to conduct ex vivo and in vivo studies aimed at establishing pre-clinical proof of concept for designed filler prototypes.

5. **Laboratory Techniques**: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and procedures, including TFF, HPLC, LC-MS analysis, NMR analysis, Spectrophotometry, Rheometry, and Texture Analysis for mechanical testing, as well as Autoclaving and Aseptic formulation.

6. **Collaboration**: Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the properties of biomaterials through comprehensive ex vivo and in vivo studies.

7. **Performance Testing**: Establish non-clinical performance testing of formulation technology by developing benchtop characterization and analytical methods.

8. **Analytical Studies**: Assist in the setup of in-house analytical studies (HPLC, LC-MS) by participating in necessary training and implementing methods for the detection and evaluation of formulated biomaterials.

9. **EHS Compliance**: Serve as the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Lab Safety Officer, ensuring compliance with EHS guidelines through regular lab safety audits and organizing lab clean-up initiatives.

10. **Training**: Conduct lab orientation and safety training for new team members, ensuring a thorough understanding of safety protocols.

Qualifications

EHS & Lab Safety Training Certification is required.
