Role Summary:
As an Educator for Students with Visual Impairments, your primary responsibility will be to design and implement tailored educational experiences for learners with visual challenges. You will collaborate with students, their families, and educational professionals to foster an inclusive and enriching educational atmosphere.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized teaching and assistance to students with visual impairments.
- Create and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs and aspirations of each student.
- Work in partnership with classroom educators, parents, and specialists to incorporate assistive technologies and customized resources.
- Evaluate and track student development, modifying teaching strategies as necessary to promote academic achievement.
- Advocate for the educational needs of students and ensure their access to necessary resources and opportunities.
- Engage in collaborative team meetings to contribute to the formulation of effective educational strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Educator for Students with Visual Impairments.
- Experience working with visually impaired students is advantageous.
- Proficient understanding of assistive technologies and adaptive teaching methodologies.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to work effectively with students, families, and educational personnel.
