Job Overview

ASRC Federal Holding Company is in search of an Environmental Specialist to contribute to environmental compliance initiatives under a significant engineering operations contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure thorough documentation and technical execution of environmental processes in accordance with NEPA and local regulations.
  • Evaluate and manage Work Order Request forms, Environmental Impact Analysis submissions, and related permits to guarantee adherence to NEPA protocols.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of construction documents for proposed projects, confirming that all environmental standards are met and properly recorded.
  • Maintain NEPA records and provide administrative support, including reviewing historical documents for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental Management System (EMS) Cross-Functional Team to enhance compliance efforts.
  • Support program-level self-assessments to evaluate compliance with Federal, State, local, and Air Force environmental laws.
  • Track project statuses and schedules from initial development through final evaluation.
  • Perform additional environmental tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least one year of applicable experience; advanced education may substitute for experience.
  • Proficient in conducting environmental inspections, identifying noncompliance issues, and formulating corrective action strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in a military environment is advantageous.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued secret security clearance is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Commitment to fostering a safe working environment.
