About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Construction Site Supervisor to join our team at Fair Deal Home Buyers. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and management of construction projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm that every construction project produces a high-quality finished product, supervise construction workers, execute regular on-site inspections, and provide feedback as needed.
- Maintain a daily record of project progress and home repair updates for the project manager and the homeowner.
- Discuss the project's costs with clients and ensure the project stays within budget.
- Hire subcontractors and verify that they have all the required permits.
- Prepare a written proposal for homeowners that includes a cost estimate for the project.
- Oversee general contractors and subcontractors in our residential construction projects.
- Recruit, hire, and manage contractors and subcontractors to help meet and exceed our goals (on time, under budget, high quality).
- Improve systems and documentation (scopes of work, checklists, etc.) within our construction operations.
- Streamline construction operations (time and money) to maximize profitability.
- Manage quality control within the company by inspecting work, communicating with vendors, providing feedback.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building permits, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principles.
- Must have a general contractor license.
- Physically capable of using heavy equipment and lifting at least 40 pounds.
- Must have a high school diploma, bachelor's degree is preferred for this role.
- At least 5 years of previous experience as a general contractor required, preferably with some additional managerial experience.
Compensation: $65,000 - $100,000 yearly
