Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our 150-unit community in Middletown, NY. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing essential work to keep our properties in great shape, completing service requests in a timely manner, and interacting with residents to ensure their satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of our properties
  • Complete service requests in a timely manner, interacting with residents and ensuring their satisfaction
  • Coordinate completion of resident and management service requests in a timely manner
  • Prepare vacant units to occupancy standard within established time frames
  • Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues promptly
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems
  • Partner with our Maintenance Supervisor to prepare sites for inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines
Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician with a strong background in maintenance and facilities management. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results and exceeding expectations.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in maintenance and facilities management, with a focus on affordable housing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, colleagues, and management
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, with a strong focus on safety and physical well-being
