Production Operator E Job Description

Arclin USA is seeking a Production Operator E to join our team in Toledo, OH. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing tasks and duties related to the manufacturing and processing of resins and formaldehyde.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacture resin and formaldehyde according to established procedures and HSE regulations.
  • Unload and load raw materials and finished products following established procedures.
  • Operate a forklift to load/unload raw materials.
  • Collaborate with management to meet production and shipping schedules.
  • Ensure required shipping documents are completed and procedures are followed to comply with regulations and corporate requirements.
  • Participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee to facilitate safety improvements.
  • Follow all site rules and procedures related to quality, health, safety, and the environment.
  • Monitor processes within your area of accountability and inform the Lead Operator of any deviations or abnormalities.
  • Work closely with the Lead Operator to accomplish tasks needed to safely and efficiently meet production and maintenance schedules.
  • Communicate with Technical, Supervisory, and Support Personnel to resolve process conditions affecting safety, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Respond to process alarms and interlocks promptly and coordinate timely confirmation and corrective actions.
  • Perform In-Process Checks (IPC's) to verify batch progression and quality using laboratory equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting in the event of process deviations.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Forklift experience a plus, but must be able to become certified.
  • Capable of driving a tractor/tanker unit or being able to learn.
  • Analytical and mechanical mindset needed to be successful in this role.
  • Previous chemical/processing experience a plus.
  • Must be willing to work rotating shifts (days/nights/evenings) every week.
  • Must be willing to follow strict Health and Safety Guidelines and wear required PPE.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb frequently, working in elevated areas.
  • Will lift an average of 50 lbs frequently.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • DCS Distributed Control Systems experience a plus.
  • Basic math skills required, including the use of a calculator.
