Senior Automation Specialist

Overview:
Our esteemed partner, a leader in therapeutic solutions and healthcare products, is seeking a dedicated Senior Automation Specialist to enhance operational efficiencies and drive innovation within their engineering processes.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Compensation:
$43/hr - $48/hr
Contract Duration:
6-month contract opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders.
2. Establish specifications, create workflows, design mechanical systems, develop control systems, assemble, troubleshoot, and validate automated manufacturing equipment.
3. Supervise project teams and internal collaborators, adjusting timelines and resources to align with project objectives.
4. Communicate progress and challenges to stakeholders, collaborating with internal manufacturing and development teams on product design, process challenges, and budget compliance.
5. Engage in the integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into engineering and manufacturing projects.
6. Facilitate training for new personnel on equipment operation, system documentation, and departmental protocols.
7. Travel may be required up to 20% based on project needs.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
2. Minimum of four years of applicable industry experience.
3. Proficient in project management tools and software for tracking project deliverables.
4. Experience with PLC programming in a manufacturing context is preferred.
5. Skilled in mechanical design utilizing 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks.
6. Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques, including gage capability, process capability, and experimental design.
7. Proven project management experience, including effective stakeholder communication and team leadership.
8. Background in control systems development is advantageous.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
