Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer Intern to join our team for the summer of 2025. As a Process Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on high-complexity manufacturing processes, develop and implement process standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead monitoring, auditing, and reporting of site processes through the use of metrics
  • Develop and implement new and existing process development, implementation, and controls in support of Plexus and customer-specific needs
  • Mentor and train individuals in various processes, required tools, and philosophies
  • Support Design for Excellence (DFx) development on new and existing customer projects and requests for quote
  • Lead assessments of new components for implementation into the manufacturing process
  • Support tool manufacturing/design through implementation of corporate standards
  • Support failure analysis and new customer product introductions
  • Lead cost reduction projects on specific projects
  • Support process qualifications and validations of both new and existing processes
  • Support quote activities by reviewing and ensuring all customer technology requirements are met
Requirements
  • Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering program for the entire duration of the internship
  • Junior level status
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
