Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to join our team in Denver, CO. The successful candidate will lead and work on various city and county projects, utilizing their expertise in time management and control, schedule development, and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior scheduling staff, project teams, and stakeholders with time management and control.
- Develop and update summary-level and detailed schedules.
- Identify major milestones, critical approvals, and long-lead procurement items.
- Determine reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussions with task owners and/or teams.
- Assign resources (cost, labor, or material) to activities and develop cash flow reports and resource histograms.
- Evaluate critical and near-critical path activity sequences.
- Assess actual progress based on site inspections.
- Identify schedule changes and trends.
- Develop earned value reports.
- Suggest corrective actions and/or develop recovery plans when delays are anticipated or occur.
- Review engineer/architect and contractor prepared schedules.
- Prepare post-construction as-built schedules and lessons learned reports.
Requirements
- 3+ years of applicable experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other technical field.
- Highly articulate, with a clear and analytical approach to problem-solving, and strong decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of CPM (Critical Path Method) concepts and calculations, earned value concepts, calculations, and rules of credit.
- Proficiency in Primavera and Microsoft Project scheduling products, and report preparation skills.
- Thorough understanding and utilization of Information Technology in the performance of work, including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.
