Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Scholar to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and mathematical statistics, with a focus on algebraic geometry and its applications to theoretical physics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in algebraic geometry and its applications to theoretical physics, with a focus on Markovian dynamical systems and their relationship to positive Grassmannians, cluster algebras, decorated permutations, amplituhedra, and other positive geometries beyond spacetime.
  • Prove theorems and publish research results in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
  • Disseminate research results to the broader scientific community through conferences, seminars, and other channels.
  • Collaborate with group members and integrate research findings into the team's overall goals.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or equivalent international degree in mathematics or a related field.
  • Strong publication record in algebraic geometry and its applications to theoretical physics.
  • No more than two years of previous postdoctoral experience.
