Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently collaborating with a manufacturing firm to provide a Staff Accountant. This role is a contractual position intended to fill a medical leave vacancy, anticipated to last between six to nine months.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate month-end closing procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Generate and analyze monthly journal entries to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and sign-offs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform variance analysis on financial statements to identify areas for cost reduction.
  • Regularly prepare and update balance sheet reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Manage prepaid expenses, including schedule setup for expense recognition, to optimize cash flow.
  • Handle Fixed Assets, including depreciation, acquisitions, and disposals, with a focus on maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide support for state and local tax issues, including report generation and notice follow-ups, under senior accountant guidance.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and documentation preparation for audits to ensure compliance.
  • Contribute to process enhancement initiatives and ERP system testing to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year's experience in a comparable accounting role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel required; experience with QAD, Sage Fixed Assets, and Avalera Sales Tax software is advantageous.

Pay Details:

$32.00 to $35.00 per hour.
