Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and rectify issues in medium to heavy-duty straight trucks.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on trailer equipment.
  • Examine and repair various vehicle components with a strong emphasis on safety.
  • Efficiently address trailer-related challenges.
  • Stay updated with technical knowledge and contribute to team objectives.
  • Utilize available resources to research and document service orders.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and adhere to company regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancements and propose modifications.
  • Assist colleagues and promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Exhibit flexibility in working hours based on operational requirements.

Physical Demands:

The role requires the ability to perform strenuous physical tasks both indoors and outdoors across varying weather conditions. Candidates must be capable of lifting, reaching, balancing, climbing, and safely operating machinery.

  • Ability to visually assess minor defects and components.
  • Demonstrate effective hearing and interpretation of mechanical information.
  • Work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license is essential; a Commercial Driving License is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management capabilities.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new software tools.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
