Rehabilitation Specialist

AdeIphi MedicaI Staffing is seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team in a correctional facility located in Corcoran, California. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing recreation therapy services for patients-inmates and/or DJJ youth.

Under the guidance of the Institution's CEO or their designated representative, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing specialized recreation therapy services that foster social interaction, encourage beneficial use of leisure time, and prepare patients-inmates and/or DJJ youth for reentry into general population or other levels of treatment.
• Participating in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) and collaborating with primary clinicians, correctional counselors, and other custody personnel to coordinate services.
• Assessing recreation therapy needs for patients-inmates and/or DJJ youth, focusing on activities of daily living, communication skills, physical exercise, and positive coping strategies.
