Job Title: RN Assessor - Long Term Care Insurance Eligibility Specialist

As a Registered Nurse (RN) Onsite Assessor for Wellcove's AssuriCare branch, you will be responsible for scheduling and completing Long Term Care Insurance eligibility assessments. These assessments are non-medical, observational, and require you to document Claimant demographics, physician information, and obtain a current medication and diagnosis list. You will also document the Claimant's functional and cognitive levels of independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer cognitive screenings (MMSE or SPMSQ) and document the Claimant's ability to complete ADL and IADL tasks.
  • Complete assessments within the Claimant's home and/or facility.
  • Submit completed assessment documentation within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment.
  • Remain available for clarifications from AssuriCare's Clinical Review team.
Requirements:
  • Current unencumbered RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a professional liability insurance policy.
  • Must have a current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle and/or public transportation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of home health experience or nursing in an equivalent area of practice serving geriatric clients.
  • Must have your own computer/tablet and internet access.
