Job Overview

Horizon Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communication Center Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and sensible advice to our customers through video banking, face-to-face, and telephone communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the Bank to the customer in a courteous, professional manner, ensuring a positive experience and building strong relationships.
  • Prospect new customers and develop a book of business through effective sales and relationship-building strategies.
  • Develop and enhance customer relationships to identify cross-selling and referral opportunities, driving business growth and revenue.
  • Meet accuracy, production, deposit, sales, origination, and referral goals, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • Stay up-to-date with bank processes, products, services, and resources, as well as banking regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Provide timely, efficient, and accurate service in processing transactions, adhering to all regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Actively protect customer and account confidentiality, upholding the Bank's commitment to security and integrity.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Bank Teller or equivalent combination of banking, payment processing, and professional sales experience in a service-oriented environment.
  • Strong sales initiative and ability to develop ongoing customer relationships.
  • Present a professional image and communicate effectively with the public, coworkers, management, customers, and others in a courteous, positive, and professional manner.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and a wide range of procedures requiring sound judgment.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations using various business machines and/or computers.
  • Proficient typing and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
