Recovery Pastor

Hope Center Ministries is a growing nonprofit discipleship recovery program with multiple centers across the U.S. We exist to lead addicts and their families to become fully devoted followers of Christ. Our mission is to help those individuals bound by drug addiction and/or alcoholism find lasting freedom and sobriety through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Recovery Pastor provides discipleship, develops a healthy culture, oversees daily operations, and builds relationships with volunteers, bible study teachers, and community leaders. This role is responsible for ensuring the campus is a safe and supportive environment for residents to grow in their faith.

• Discipleship
  • Lay Counseling: Provide individual and group counseling to residents, ensuring they receive adequate time and attention.
  • Mentorship: Facilitate outings with approved mentors and family members, promoting healthy relationships and growth.
  • Bible Studies/Devotionals: Ensure bible study teachers are aware of and following Hope Center Ministries guidelines, and that residents are engaged in regular bible studies and devotionals.
• Campus Culture
  • Guides Community Leaders: Oversee daily schedules, ensuring structure and a healthy environment for residents.
  • Rest and Recreation: Promote rest and healthy fun activities, such as Saturday nights and free nights at the gym or for relaxation.
  • Godly Environment: Lead and promote a Godly environment, including Christian movies, music, and books.
• Daily Operations
  • Manage Daily Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring all counseling requirements are met and Phase I vocational training is completed.
  • Develop and Delegate: Develop and delegate responsibilities to community leaders, staff, apprentices, and interns.
  • Administrative: Ensure all resident documentation is accurate and up-to-date in the database.
• Family Support
  • Coordinate Family Support Nights: Plan and execute family support nights, ensuring all support groups are invited and engaged.
  • Foundation Class: Ensure the foundation class is conducted regularly.
• Professional Development/Personal Growth
  • Attend Courses/Workshops: Attend relevant courses, workshops, and conferences to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Performance Review: Participate in annual performance reviews, setting realistic goals and developing strategies for growth.

• Advanced knowledge of the Bible
• Working knowledge of Celebrate Recovery 12 steps and 8 Principles (Beatitudes)
• Basic knowledge of human behavior and lay counseling
• General knowledge of the 12-steps, 8-principles, HCM curriculum, and for individuals and groups
• Ability to convey information effectively and manage time efficiently
• Ability to handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances

• Have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and live a life according to Biblical standards
• Agree with the Statement of Faith, Lifestyle Statement, and overall vision of Hope Center Ministries
• Successfully pass background screening, social media, personal, and professional reference checks
