Job Description

  • ">
  • This is a Full-Time position working Night Shifts, rotating Weekends and Holidays, with 3x12-hr shifts per week.">
  • As a Medical Professional, you will deliver high-quality patient care consistent with local state nurse practice acts, supervise nursing activities, and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.">
  • You will act as a patient advocate, promote best practices within the profession of nursing, and participate in ongoing education and training to maintain clinical competencies.">
  • Our ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a correctional setting.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.">
  • At least one year of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a correctional facility or similar environment.">
  • Possesses active CPR certification and remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.">
  • Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned by role.">

Essential Functions

  • ">
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records and reports.">
  • Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions and side effects.">
  • Record patients' medical information and vital signs, monitoring for changes in condition.">
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.">
  • Modify treatment plans based on patient response and condition.">
  • Monitor diet and physical activity, directing or supervising less-skilled nursing personnel as needed.">
  • Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.">
  • Instruct individuals, families, or groups on health topics, developing health improvement programs as necessary.">
  • Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies, maintaining stock levels.">
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient conditions.">
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by facility management.">
