We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bookseller to join our team at Barnes & Noble. As a Bookseller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming environment, and promoting books and other products to customers.

• Engage with customers, share knowledge of books, and make recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
• Execute bookstore basics, including presentation, commerciality, section detail, localization, and sense of theater, to create a vibrant and inviting store environment.
• Leverage key campaigns, such as Our Monthly Picks and pre-orders, to hand sell and engage with customers.
• Educate yourself continuously on books and the industry to provide customers with a great experience.
• Identify key titles and communicate with the store team to tailor merchandise selection to reflect the community.
• Maintain a clean and organized store, creating displays and ensuring the bookstore is always shoppable and inviting.
• Assist with events and community outreach.
• Protect company assets by adhering to processes controlling shrink, expense, and payroll.
• Recognize and offer to help customers and employees with urgency and care.
• Model expected behaviors to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
