Job Title: Legal Counsel

340B Health is seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in assisting with regulatory, legal, and legislative advocacy in the area of health policy and drug pricing, particularly relating to the federal 340B discount drug program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a staff lead on litigation pertaining to 340B, including monitoring lawsuits, reviewing filings, and updating staff and members on filings and decisions.
  • Work directly with outside counsel on 340B Health filings, particularly amicus briefs, including assisting with fact and legal theory development and review.
  • Collaborate with other staff, hospital members, and others to develop formal policy positions and to draft comments and letters to federal agencies.
  • Serve as staff lead on designated issues as assigned, including maintaining a comprehensive understanding and ensuring colleagues are informed of developments.
  • Work with members on an individual basis to help them understand and respond to policy changes and other program developments.
  • Monitor and update members on state legislation and other state developments and trends impacting 340B, and assist members with understanding and advocating on state-specific issues.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations at conferences, webinars, regional roundtables, and other events.
  • Participate in and contribute to 340B Coalition conference program development.
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • At least three years of legal experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of healthcare, pharmaceutical policy, Medicare, Medicaid, and hospital issues.
  • Litigation, administrative appeals, or law firm experience.
  • Demonstrated writing and communication skills.
  • Proven attention to detail and diligence around legal and legislative advocacy issues.
