About Us

Options for Learning is a nonprofit child development organization that has been serving families in Southern California for over 40 years. Our mission is to provide tools and resources to help families improve their lives and break the cycle of poverty.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for delivering enrollment services to families in our center-based programs. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively, work independently and collaboratively within a small team, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enroll families in our services, including initial certification and recertification.
  • Maintain knowledge of current requirements for families receiving subsidized services.
  • Accurately calculate parent fees.
  • Manage documentation to verify eligibility and need of services for assigned caseload.
  • Assist parents in identifying social service needs and providing referrals as requested.
  • Accommodate parents for enrollment or recertification appointments at school sites or virtually.
  • Complete required reports in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Certificate or degree in business, accounting, social work, sociology, or related field.
  • At least one year of case management experience and making eligibility determinations in the human services field.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to high volume, fluctuating workload.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Mandarin with full proficiency.
  • Ability to type with minimal errors and communicate effectively in written and oral English.
