Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Registered Dietitian I PRN at TriStar Food & Nutrition is a skilled professional with a Bachelor’s degree or higher. This position involves:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and implementing tailored interventions.
  • Monitoring and evaluating patient progress through the Nutrition Care Process.
  • Delivering exceptional service to patients and colleagues alike.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Utilizing nutrition screening tools to identify patients at risk.
  • Applying the Nutrition Care Process for assessments and intervention planning.
  • Creating nutrition care plans for patients with complex health issues.
  • Providing nutrition counseling for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Adhering to established nutrition care guidelines and protocols.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian status within six months of hire.
  • State licensure as a Dietitian within six months of hire.
  • Maintenance of a professional portfolio with continuing education credits.

General Functions:

  • Demonstrating competency in specific areas as per the Competency Checklist.
  • Meeting annual performance goals and objectives.
  • Integrating ethical practices and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Supporting the facility’s mission and values.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
