California Licensed Vocational Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at the Sierra Conservation Center in Tuolumne County.
Job Summary
This is a 12-month Limited Term position, with the possibility of extension up to 24 months or becoming permanent. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will work under the clinical direction of a registered nurse or physician and administrative supervision at a correctional facility, providing basic general nursing care to inmates with various health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to inmates with mental, emotional, or developmental disabilities, or visually impaired, medically ill, or infirm inmates
- Work under clinical direction and administrative supervision at a correctional facility
- Collaborate with healthcare partners and inmates to ensure high-quality care
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess a valid and active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
