Jail Aftercare Coordinator

Join CommQuest Services Inc in making a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Jail Aftercare Coordinator to join our team.

About the Role

This is a temporary, full-time position at our Canton/Massillon campus locations. As a Jail Aftercare Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to individuals transitioning from jail to our aftercare programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform SUD assessments in person to facilitate a smooth transition to aftercare
  • Assist the CDCA with needs to ensure they can focus on current residential clients
  • Provide transportation and support directly from jail to services
  • Share CommQuest's mission and values with clients and stakeholders
  • Build valuable relationships with clients, staff, and community partners
  • Provide residential care and support to clients
  • Be an advocate for clients and their needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in counseling, social work, or a related field
  • Certified/licensed as CDCA, LCDC II, LCDC III, LICDC, or LICDC-CS
  • One year of experience working as a chemical dependency counselor
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with vulnerable populations and in crisis situations
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and a driving record that meets agency requirements
