Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN to join our team in the Med/Tele Oncology department. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients with oncology and trauma diagnoses.

Certification Requirements
  • Chemo certification is required for administering chemotherapy, although it is not mandatory for general floor duties.
Job Responsibilities
  • Department: Med/Tele Oncology RN
  • Bed Capacity: 28 beds
  • Nurse to Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4, Nights: 1:5
  • Common Patient Diagnoses: Oncology and Trauma
  • Drip Titration: Required for RNs
  • Common Drips: Chemotherapy (occasionally)
  • Charge Nurse: Present on each shift with an assignment
  • Nurse Aids/Patient Care Techs: Available on the unit with a ratio of 1:10
Essential Qualifications
  • Required Certifications: BLS
Scheduling Information
  • Shifts: Various shifts available
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirements: Negotiated based on availability
  • Floating Requirements: Yes, within the same level of care
Unit Specific Details
  • Tele/Monitor Techs: RNs should have some tele awareness as techs will interpret
  • Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs provided
  • Orientation: 2 shifts of department-specific orientation
Additional Information
  • Successful candidates will exhibit qualities such as curiosity, kindness, and a strong sense of teamwork.
  • Radius Rule: 50 miles
  • RTO Policy: Requests for time off must be submitted upfront (7 or fewer days per 13-week contract). Additional requests will not be approved after submissions.
