Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide/Dishwasher to join our team at Willowood of Williamstown Inc. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing exceptional meal service and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in serving meals in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to established portion control procedures.
  • Participate in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, including cleaning work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, and sweeping and mopping floors as directed.
  • Carry soiled utensils and equipment to the wash area and return clean utensils to their proper storage areas.
  • Wash and clean dishes/utensils as directed, and carry out garbage and keep work areas clean, dry, and free of hazardous equipment and supplies.
  • Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining rooms as instructed, and assist the cook in preparing meals.
  • Distribute and collect menus as necessary, and deliver food carts, trays, and other items to designated areas.
  • Remove food trays from carts and dining rooms and take them to the dishwashing area, and prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
  • Maintain food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times, and dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies.
  • Assist in food preparation for special meals for parties and other events.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be physically able to lift and move heavy objects, and be willing to work in a kitchen environment with hot equipment and sharp objects.
