UNC Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Clayton, North Carolina.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform ultrasound imaging, patient preparation, and post-procedure care. The successful candidate will be responsible for procedure room set-up and cleaning, quality monitoring, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound imaging and generate high-quality images of the heart and/or vascular related structures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide post-procedure care.
  • Set up and clean procedure rooms, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
  • Monitor and record patient information, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and quality assurance monitoring, identifying and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist with post-procedure transport and ensure timely and efficient room preparation between procedures.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field within 3 months of hire.
  • Completion of a 12-month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire.
