Role Summary:

This contractor role involves assessing, planning, and implementing tailored treatment strategies for individuals with autism. The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will ensure effective communication interventions through functional communication programs and the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of children with autism, celebrating milestones such as helping a child articulate their first words or expanding their mealtime experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
  • Current licensure as an SLP in Indiana.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Submission of a comprehensive Indiana State Police Criminal Background Check.

Preferred Experience:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Background in Early Intervention.
  • Experience in Pediatric Speech Therapy.
  • Training in Sensory Processing Disorders.
  • Skill in parent coaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement therapeutic strategies for children aged 15 months to 12 years.
  • Manage a caseload of clients based on availability.
  • Conduct comprehensive speech therapy evaluations and maintain required documentation.
  • Provide individualized therapy sessions tailored to client needs.
  • Keep accurate daily notes in compliance with documentation policies and state regulations.
  • Educate and support staff and families regarding speech therapy and diagnostic processes.
  • Facilitate in-service training for staff and parents as needed.
  • Plan and execute special education programs related to speech therapy upon request.
  • Assist in the development of Individualized Educational Plans (IEP) as applicable.
  • Perform duties across multiple locations as required.
  • Potentially supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).

Contractor Details:

  • Compensation is based on billable hours at a rate of $40.00 per hour.
  • Contractor status: 1099
  • Flexible scheduling options (Remote/Hybrid/Onsite).
  • Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
