Job Description

SURESTAFF LLC is seeking a skilled Silk-Screen Painter - Coating Specialist to join our team at a steel manufacturing plant in Garland, TX.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating electrostatic powder coating equipment to apply powder paint to metal products on a conveyorized paint line. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate electrostatic powder coating equipment to apply powder paint to metal products
  • Assist with the hanging and removing of components from the paint conveyor line
  • Maintain and clean spray equipment and work area
  • Work with Painter III and team lead employees to acquire skills required for promotion to Painter III level
  • Train on other related departmental equipment and/or processes to achieve multiple operator skills

Requirements:

  • Experience with print production inks
  • Screen printing or screen making
  • Operation of screen-printing machine
  • Experience in the printing industry: screen printing, wide format, or paper
  • Complete process of coating screens, printing screens, exposing screens, and washing screens
  • Inks, solvents, and application process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalency
  • Basic math and communication skills
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 35 lbs
  • Frequently bend, twist, and reach and may stand and/or walk up to 8-10 hours per day
