Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs, organizes, and facilitates activities that promote residents' holistic well-being.
  • Adapts activities for both individual and group involvement, considering varying abilities.
  • Employs specialized equipment to ensure residents' comfort and active participation.
  • Provides personalized sensory engagement for residents who may prefer not to participate in group settings.
  • Arranges community outings and events tailored for residents.
  • Coordinates special events based on residents' interests and preferences.
  • Assists with resident care during activities and outings.
  • Maintains a respectful and dignified approach towards all residents.
  • Updates activity boards and decorates living areas accordingly.
  • Supplies age-appropriate materials for leisure activities.
  • Collaborates with volunteers to enhance recreational offerings.

Documentation Responsibilities:

  • Maintains precise records in accordance with recreation protocols.
  • Documents residents' engagement and responses to activities.
  • Regularly submits reports to the Recreation Supervisor.
  • Writes observation notes to monitor residents' progress and behavioral changes.

Additional Duties:

  • Ensures supply areas are organized and maintained.
  • Handles requests for shopping and distribution for residents.
  • Responds promptly to emergencies and reports incidents as required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

The role may entail physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and balancing. It also involves exposure to various odors and bodily fluids while facilitating activities in indoor, outdoor, and community settings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
