The Senior Director, Clinical Operations will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the clinical operations of our organization. This role requires a strategic and visionary leader with extensive experience in clinical operations management, preferably within an ambulatory, primary care, or outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and optimize operational efficiencies.
- Lead change within a team of clinical professionals and develop a strategic vision for organizational growth.
- Work in a dyad relationship with the Chief Medical Officer and Clinical Operations leaders to develop and design services provided in each office/facility.
- Manage monthly financial and operational reviews and assist the marketing department to ensure practices have market presence and proper branding.
- Provide strategic leadership for developing long-range goals to optimize clinical operations performance.
- Evaluate practice productivity and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Lead clinic operational teams at all levels to assist physicians, advanced practice providers, and staff in understanding group practice patterns and data interpretation.
- Collaborate with medical leadership for advising and facilitating major physician-physician, physician-patient, and interdepartmental concerns.
- Ensure collaboration of clinical and operational teams to maximize the use of resources and outcomes.
- Support clinical operations leaders and medical staff in fulfilling roles and responsibilities.
- Mobilize physician leaders around achieving clinical, operational, and strategic priorities.
- Establish a positive work environment that promotes collaboration and innovation.
- Set clear expectations and ensure staff has skills, training, and tools needed to achieve expectations.
- Accountable for executing processes that establish standard training and mentoring of staff.
- Work with operations data analytics to establish and monitor clinical parameters that guide clinical teams.
- Demonstrate and articulate annual quality targets that support system-wide targets and metrics.
- Serve as leader for safety initiatives in the clinical offices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation-related requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of electronic tools necessary for a data-driven approach to managing cost and quality.
- Minimum of 10 years progressive growth in physician practice management or healthcare environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Policy, Nursing, or equivalent level of education or experience.
- 5-8 years minimum progressive leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multi-center operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to negotiate and build relationships with physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Experience with successfully leading and motivating teams.
- Must be a critical thinker, able to logically evaluate situations and problems.
- Must have strong negotiation skills, with the ability to find collaborative and positive outcomes.
- Must have a high degree of personal accountability, energy, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
