Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Data Science Team Lead to join our team at HP Development Company, L.P. as a full-time employee. This role will oversee the development of machine learning models, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or data science, and experience with machine learning and AI/ML technologies.

About the Role:

  • This position is responsible for guiding the development of machine learning models, triaging new AI/ML use cases, and formulating plans for delivery.
  • The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of job-related experience or 5-7 years of management experience in computer programming languages, machine learning, algorithms, statistical methods, or a related field.
  • This role requires excellent communication skills, technical guidance, and mentorship to team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors that design, deploy, maintain, and monitor machine learning models, pipelines, and systems.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand use cases, user experience requirements, and goals.
  • Oversees end-to-end machine learning model lifecycle, from data collection and preprocessing to model selection and optimization, to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
