Key Responsibilities- Patient Monitoring: Continuously observe patients' vital signs, consciousness levels, and overall physical and psychological responses to ensure stability and prevent adverse reactions.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and adjust care as necessary.
- Pain Management: Implement pain management strategies and provide medications to ensure patient comfort during recovery.
- Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons and anesthesiologists to communicate any changes in patient conditions and ensure optimal post-operative care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patients' post-operative conditions, treatments, and responses, sharing this information with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Patient and Family Education: Provide essential information to patients and their families regarding post-operative conditions, treatments, and recovery expectations.
- Emotional Support: Offer reassurance and emotional support to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or anxieties.
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a current RN license, a bachelor's degree in nursing, and relevant experience in a similar environment. Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential. A solid understanding of anesthesia, surgical procedures, and post-operative care is also required.
