Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic M&A/Financial Instruments Tax Senior Manager to join our growing national Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Tax practice. This consulting practice offers significant advancement opportunities, advising multinational corporations, privately held companies, partnerships, and private equity firms on tax aspects of planning, structuring, and executing M&A transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering due diligence and tax structuring services, communicating findings and opportunities to clients
  • Identify and develop high-value tax opportunities for clients
  • Assist clients on financial instrument and related M&A tax issues, including recapitalization, restructuring, and bankruptcy transactions, classification, sales, exchanges of financial instruments, deductibility of interest, and hedging transactions
  • Plan, manage, and execute advice engagements with limited supervision
  • Develop, motivate, and train team members
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight years of federal tax experience with financial instruments and/or mergers and acquisition experience in a public accounting firm, corporate tax department, or law firm, along with active CPA, EA, or JD certification. Knowledge of various industries and project management skills are also essential.

This role requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university and proficiency in research, writing, and critical thinking. Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field, experience with a national or large regional accounting firm, and excellent research and writing skills.

What We Offer

RSM US LLP provides a competitive benefits and compensation package, including a salary range of $165,600 - $332,800, which reflects individual performance and experiences. A discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance is also available.
