Job Summary

Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist to support the in-patient imaging department on an on-call basis. This PRN position offers varied shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with opportunities to pick up shifts every or every other Wednesday. The ideal candidate will be willing to take weekend call every 3rd or 4th weekend.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures on patients, preparing them for the exam, administering contrast when necessary, and ensuring technical quality of the scan.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Perform quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and matrix camera, maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
  • Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
  • Take emergency call within the department, providing prompt and effective support.
  • Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to Memorial Hermann's policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Promote individual professional growth and development, meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
  • Demonstrate commitment to caring for every member of our community, creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
  • Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR) or Registered Radiological Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) and Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
