The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machine setup and operation, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality production, as well as mentoring and guiding team members to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead CNC lathe operations and ensure efficient workflows and high-quality production.
  • Mentor and guide a team of skilled operators to achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with the Mill Shop Lead to ensure timely production and smooth operations.
  • Set up and adjust CNC machines for newer operators and guide them to success.
  • Read, write, and edit G-code to maintain exacting specifications for parts.
  • Oversee work tickets, schedules, and materials to ensure operations run smoothly.
  • Step in to operate CNC machines when needed, especially during absences or team vacations.
  • Train and mentor team members to offer solutions and expertise on complex technical challenges.
  • Operate Fanuc and Haas CNC lathes and mills, handling fixture work coordinates, tool offsets, and more.
  • Use precision measuring tools to inspect and ensure that all parts meet our high standards.
  • Perform tooling adjustments, replace worn tools, and keep machines operating efficiently.

What We're Looking For in a Candidate:

  • Proven leadership ability with a focus on growing and improving the team and company.
  • Expertise in reading and writing G-code, with hands-on experience in CNC lathe setup and operation.
  • A problem-solver who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
  • 5+ years of production experience, particularly with Hyundai and Haas CNC machines.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage work tickets, schedules, and team assignments.
