POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Box Butte General Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation and development of our patients, helping them to regain physical or mental functioning and adjust to disabilities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy programs in a hospital or community setting
* Develop and implement activities to help patients or handicapped persons develop or regain physical or mental functioning
* Consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to select activity programs consistent with individual needs and capabilities
* Teach individuals skills and techniques required for participation in activities and evaluate individual progress
* Design and construct special equipment for individuals and suggest adaptations to their work-living environment

**Personal Qualities:**

* Portray a positive attitude in interactions with patients, their families, co-workers, and management
* Promote good public relations and display good listening skills and follow-through with assignments
* Seek out opportunities for learning new skills and procedures and demonstrate honesty and integrity in all aspects of the job
* Display a caring approach in providing nursing care to patients and their families

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy
* National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
* Licensed with the State of Nebraska as an Occupational Therapist
* Certified to administer Electrotherapeutic Agents, Deep Thermal Agents, and Superficial Thermal Agents (P.A.M.'s)
* Valid driver's license
* CPR certified within 3 months of hire
