Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Product Engineer to join our team at Ledgent Technology. As a key member of our Sales Engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting technical activities related to applications/solutions engineering and customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and test complete solutions to solve unique technical problems.
  • Define new products and features to fill gaps and perform product evaluations and field trials.
  • Provide comprehensive support to customers and the sales team through troubleshooting, system integration engineering, product recommendations, and technical analysis.
  • Work individually and with Engineering teams to support requests via in-house or field testing and validation.
  • Test and harden existing features through firmware and hardware changes in realistic applications.
  • Support the Sales Engineering team by helping prepare for demos, training, testing, or recreating bugs and issues.
  • Create and maintain customer-facing documents and content to support customers and sales more efficiently.
  • Oversee and assist the RMA and Loaner teams by providing guidance, equipment recommendations, and vetting customer requests.
  • Travel to provide in-person engineering support to customers and the sales team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field.
  • Proficiency in instruments such as spectrum analyzers, multimeters, signal generators, and other RF and data network test equipment and testing.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, multitask, and effectively interact with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and internally across the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attentiveness to details.
  • Proficiency with PC office applications and mobile devices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with TCP/IP protocol and networking.
  • Experience with operating and testing IP radios/modems.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication systems, RF signal propagation, and digital communication technologies.
  • Experience in testing embedded radio communication systems.
  • Familiarity with Linux.
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as Python or C/C++.
