About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Cinemark Assistant Manager. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for assisting in the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring policies and procedures are being followed, and operational standards are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the General Manager in the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and activities.
  • Support the General Manager's decisions and communicate effectively with staff members to ensure a cohesive team environment.
  • Work in all departments and job functions, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the theatre's operations.
  • Train and coach team members in their specific job functions, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports, providing valuable insights for management.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the theatre building, parking lot, and equipment to identify areas for improvement.
  • Report any repairs or maintenance needs to the General Manager, ensuring prompt attention to critical issues.
  • Ensure team members follow the dress code and provide exceptional customer service, upholding Cinemark's high standards.
  • Learn and follow Cinemark's policies and procedures, staying up-to-date on company guidelines and best practices.
  • Report employee relations issues to the General Manager, addressing conflicts and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Lead or attend shift huddles and conduct wellness checks, fostering open communication and team engagement.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school or G.E.D. graduate preferred.
  • Completion of three basic courses in Cinemark's Management Accreditation Program.
  • Basic food handling training and local or state mandated certification.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Ability to take and follow direction.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to train and lead others.
  • Ability to resolve conflict.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and reaching.
  • Ability to carry, push, and pull objects.
  • Moderate to high noise level at times.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
