Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a highly skilled Master Diesel Technician to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
  • Advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs, diesel after treatment, and automotive fuel injection repairs
  • Utilize diagnostic computers and software to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions
  • Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures
  • Coach and mentor other technicians to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers to provide excellent customer service
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four (4) years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
  • All other certifications as required by location
