We are seeking a skilled Painter Assistant to join our team at Brown & Root Industrial Services. As a key member of our painting crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our clients' projects.

• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to heavy equipment, buildings, bridges, and other structures using brushes, spray guns, sandblasting equipment, or rollers.
• Select and mix coating additives to thin or promote drying and adhesion.
• Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper to protect them during painting.
• Remove old paint to prepare surfaces prior to painting.
• Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers using caulking guns or putty knives.
• Use high air-pressure sandblasting equipment, chemical application, chipping hammer, power tools, and other abrasives to remove rust, grease, dirt, concrete, and old paint prior to paint application.

• High school diploma or equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Knowledge of application techniques, shop mathematics, and the ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Ability to plan work and select proper tools, compare and see differences in size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects, and visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, and pull objects, as well as climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and finger objects.
